Eligibility:
Scholarship applicant must be officially accepted into the BSN or MSN program, enrolled fulltime (12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 9 credit hours per semester for graduate) by the start of the Fall semester 2011-2012 academic year and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description:  The Spalding University Office of Advancement and Development, in collaboration with the School of Nursing, has established scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year for both the BSN and MSN programs. Through the generosity of several individuals and organizations, the number of scholarships available continues to grow.

University of Prince Edward Island announced scholarship for student of Nursing, Canada

Awarded to a graduate of UPEI School of Nursing pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.

Scholarship Description: This graduate nursing scholarship was established by Dr. Vera Elizabeth Dewar at the University of Prince Edward Island. Vera Dewar (or Miss Dewar, as she is affectionately known to many former students and colleagues), was raisedon the family farm in Brudenell. After high school, Vera was too young to enter the nursing program, so shetaught Grade 1 – 10 in a one-room school for a couple of years. Then she enrolled at the PEI Hospital Schoolof Nursing, graduating in 1956 and, two years later, she obtained her Diploma in Teaching and Supervision in Schools of Nursing from Dalhousie University. In 1967, Vera obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Dalhousie University.

Applied Science degree or certificate course in Nursing at The Salt Lake Community College

Eligibility:
•Be accepted into the Nursing Program at SLCC.
• Must have an established 2.5 cumulative GPA at SLCC.
• To be considered a continuing student, you must have completed a minimum of 9 credit hours here at SLCC or another college. If you have completed 9 credit hours at another institution, please attach transcripts to this application.
• You must submit this application form, along with the two attached recommendation forms from someone qualified to judge your work in the Nursing program. Please attach your letters to this form; do not send them separately.
• Be a Utah resident. Students attending on a student visa are not eligible.
• Enroll and complete at least nine credit hours during Fall 2011 & Spring 2012 Terms.
• Be a matriculated student.


Scholarship Open for International Students: No


Scholarship Description: The Salt Lake Community College Nursing Program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing, which enables graduates to apply for the NCLEX exam for registered nursing. Also offered is the Advanced Placement Program for practical nurses returning for an AAS degree.
