Eligibility:
•Be accepted into the Nursing Program at SLCC.
• Must have an established 2.5 cumulative GPA at SLCC.
• To be considered a continuing student, you must have completed a minimum of 9 credit hours here at SLCC or another college. If you have completed 9 credit hours at another institution, please attach transcripts to this application.
• You must submit this application form, along with the two attached recommendation forms from someone qualified to judge your work in the Nursing program. Please attach your letters to this form; do not send them separately.
• Be a Utah resident. Students attending on a student visa are not eligible.
• Enroll and complete at least nine credit hours during Fall 2011 & Spring 2012 Terms.
• Be a matriculated student.


Scholarship Open for International Students: No


Scholarship Description: The Salt Lake Community College Nursing Program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing, which enables graduates to apply for the NCLEX exam for registered nursing. Also offered is the Advanced Placement Program for practical nurses returning for an AAS degree.

Severely Injured Veterans scholarship to undergraduate or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix

Eligibility:Applicants who reside in the United States must meet one of the following requirements:
-be a legal resident of the United States; have been granted permanent residency
-have a valid visa that does not prohibit educational studies
-have been granted temporary protected status along with approved Notice of Action issued by Citizen Immigration Services
-have been granted asylum along with the approved Notice of Action issued by the Citizen Immigration Services.
